The Governing Body
Governors are volunteers who work in partnership with school leadership to ensure that every child receives the highest quality education in a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment. Our role centers around three key strategic responsibilities:
- Setting the vision, ethos, and strategic direction of the school;
- Holding school leaders to account for the educational outcomes of pupils and the performance management of staff;
- Overseeing financial performance, ensuring that public funds are used effectively and efficiently;
We are fortunate to have a committed governing body, each member bringing unique skills and experiences to the table. However, our work would not be possible without the dedication and professionalism of our Headteacher, the Leadership Team, and the entire staff at both schools. Their passion and hard work are at the heart of everything we achieve.
As governors, we are proactive and always open to feedback. We are committed to listening to the school community and implementing meaningful changes to ensure that Al Mizan and London East Academy continue to thrive and aspire to be among the very best schools in London.
If you have any suggestions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share, please feel free to contact me via the school office or by emailing: governors@elmschools.co.uk
